Tanning!

Okay I don't know about you but I love tanning. It's something I look forward to every year. When summer comes around the first thing I do is throw on a bikini and get my tan on. Maybe that's because I'm super white, but I also just love the feeling of the sunlight soaking into my skin. I wish it wasn't so hot in Vegas, but when I'm on vacation to Maui or LA I will literally sit in the sun for hours. Anyways, here's some of my tips and tricks an amazing summer tan!

1. Bikini
The bikini is everything. You need to decide which style of bikini you will be wearing all summer long or your tan lines just aren't going to match up. Two things I hate: When you can see a girls tan lines, and when they wear the same bikini all summer. That is easily fixed. One thing I normally try to do is buy the same style of bikini. That way you can change it up but at the same time make sure those horrible tan lines are covered. If you're trying this then I would recommend a Victoria's Secret style because they have various designs for each of their styles. Another thing you could do if you are indecisive like me and can't commit to one style of bikini, just wear a super small strapless bikini when tanning so you have very minimal tan lines. I know a lot of people like to tan nude, but I definitely don't. I mean I'm not going to judge if you do. It probably get's rid of a ton of tanning problems but I just don't think it works well for me. Call me crazy but it kind of seems weird to lay outside naked. #truth

Here's some bikini's I would recommend:

This halter style top from Victoria's Secret is probably one of my favorites. I would highly recommend buying at least one of these this season. (I have 6 already #shopaholic) Also if you are looking to buy multiple designs in the same style this has some great options. From what I see on the Victoria's secret website there are 21 designs for this style. Shopping online can help a lot when looking for specific bikinis.

The bombshell's are also a great choice from Victoria's Secret when looking for multiple bikinis with the same style. I absolutely love these because they are so cute and comfortable at the same time. The straps are removable so it's a good idea for tanning. the bottoms and back leave very minimum tan lines which I love.

When in doubt always go for a bandeau bikini like this fabulous one from Victoria's Secret. I like this one because unlike most bandeaus the back of the top is very thin therefore leaves smaller tan lines to worry about.

These are just some options and if you can't afford a Victoria's Secret bikini this year there are many more options that are similar and very inexpensive. However I do recommend if you can fit it into your budget you definitely should. It is completely worth the investment.

2. Tanning Oil
I am not the biggest fan of tanning oil because I feel like it never works as well as it should. I've tried so many different kinds and none of them give me the result I want them to. When I was about to give up on the thought my friend introduced me to mineral oil. Mineral oil can be found at any local grocery or drug store for super cheep and it happens to be the first ingredient in all Tanning oils. Mineral oil works so amazingly and will give anyone the perfect summer tan they are looking for.

I hope you all enjoyed these tips and please let me know if you would like more tanning tips this summer! Happy Tanning!!

Love always,

Pick of the Week: OPI you don't know Jacques!

So my pick this week is definitely OPI's "you don't know Jacques!".

So first of all can we all just take a second and recognize the fact that OPI has the best nail polish names ever. I just love them so much! Now back to business. I just love this color. I am normally a huge girly girl who loves bright fun colors, but this is definitely an exception. I could wear this color all day everyday. The finish is just so perfect and it has such a beautiful rich look to it. Since it's almost summer I really wanted to choose a color this week that was a little more wintery to get it out of my system. When I came across this color I was positive this would be it. A few years ago I was so obsessed with this color and I totally forgot about it. I think 'you don't know Jacques!' will always be one of my favorites.

Closet Theory

Okay so here's my closet theory. My mom is always freaking yelling at me for having so many clothes. But I mean, what if I throw something away and then someday I need that exact thing that I don't have anymore. That sounds like a lame excuse but in reality it's totally plausible. Think of it this way. I go to so many themed events and parties that it's unhealthy. I feel like at least once a week I have to dress up for something. What if I throw out my only plaid shirt (Because I think plaid should seriously not exist. Ew.) and then the next week I get invited to a western party?! That would suck! I would have to buy a new one. And I would be so pissed off if I had to spend good money on something so useless. Not that I would be bankrupt from a shirt, but I shouldn't have to buy one if I already have a perfectly good one.

I really don't think it's a crime to love clothes. After all, isn't shopping good for the economy? Either way, I feel like clothes have memories. They aren't just material things to me. Every piece of clothing I own has a story. I remember when and where I wore it. Some are good memories, some are bad, but I still think both are important. Bad memories teach valuable lessons and good memories give motivation. How could anyone expect me to throw those away?

Vegas

The most annoying thing in the world is when you tell someone you live in Vegas and they're like "Oh my gosh! How fun! You must party all the time!". It's like NO! I am 16 years old. I can't drink. I can't gamble, and I definitely can't get into a club. My life is just as boring as anyone else. People think that like the rules don't apply to me or something because I live in Vegas. That makes no sense! It makes me so mad. Living in Vegas is nothing special. I live in a normal house and go to a normal school. That's all.

But I do love living in Vegas. It's my home. There is no where else I would rather live. My friends are always talking about how they can't wait to get out of this city. But that's so dumb! I mean why would anyone want to leave Vegas!? Whatever.
It's really funny to watch tourists walk around the strip drunk out of their mind and totally lost. They always seem amazed by the lights, shows, and especially the Vegas sign. Those things are completely normal to me though. I actually hate going to the Vegas sign. I mean no one wants to stand out in the horrible weather just to take a picture. And there's nothing else to do there! It's literally this huge empty space with people lined up to take pictures. And while you're waiting several guys dressed as elvis try to talk to you and people hand you stripper cards. It's totally not worth it. Take my word for it.

Though life in Vegas can be totally normal, it does have it's perks. Parties and stuff are great because there are so many hotels to choose from. Also we always have something going on. A show, festival, concert, or something even better. I mean I would assume that living in Vegas must be a little more eventful than other places. I feel bad for people who live in cities that are never stops for big tours. That must suck. Overall, Vegas is pretty great.

Beginnings ♡

Welcome to my blog!
First of all let me explain why I decided to start a blog. I love writing. But not only that. I really wanted to find a way to express myself and share my opinions. I figured that a blog would be the best way to do that.
Now a little about me.
I'm a hard core Vegas girl, and i'm totally basic. But i'm proud of it. Most people use the term 'basic' as an insult. Well I don't care what any of them think because I'm basic and I'm proud. For those of you who don't know what I mean, I am a girly girl who loves starbucks, Uggs, Victoria's Secret, and fashion. So let's just say I'm a basic teen girl from Vegas who is totally into all that beauty stuff. I love planning my future. I strive to go to Beauty school and then eventually own my own Beauty salon. But for now I'm just going to live my life day by day and enjoy every second of it. (:
